It Will Rain - Bruno Mars

If you ever leave me, baby
Leave some morphine at my door
'Cause it would take a whole lot of medication
To realize what we used to have
We don't have it anymore

There's no religion that could save me
No matter how long my knees are on the floor
So keep in mind all the sacrifices I'm makin'
Will keep you by my side
Will keep you from walkin' out the door

'Cause there'll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There'll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same
If you walk away
Everyday, it will rain, rain, rain

I'll never be your mother's favorite
Your daddy can't even look me in the eye
Ooo if I was in their shoes, I'd be doing the same thing
Sayin' there goes my little girl
Walkin' with that troublesome guy

But they're just afraid of something they can't understand
Ooo well little darlin' watch me change their minds
Yeah for you I'll try I'll try I'll try
I'll pick up these broken pieces 'til I'm bleeding
That'll make you mine

'Cause there'll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There'll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same
If you walk away
Everyday, it will rain, rain, rain

Oh, don't you say goodbye
Don't you say goodbye
I'll pick up these broken pieces 'til I'm bleeding
If that'll make it right

'Cause there'll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There'll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same
If you walk away
Everyday, it will rain, rain, rain

Listening Bruno Mars' It Will Rain song has brought me back to the memory when I was so afraid of losing someone I loved so much. At that time, it seemed that no one could replace her. Nothing could compare to her. It was as if she was the only one in this word that can complete my life. Yes, just like the lyric line of this song depicts, it seemed that dying is a better choice than losing her.

I thought that is what Bruno Mars' It Will Rain song tries to tell. Just like my story above, the song shows how afraid Bruno Mars is of losing his girl. "If you ever leave me, baby. Leave some morphine at my door" one of the lyric lines goes. Why does Bruno Mars use the word morphine? Well, I guess it is because he will feel very painful with the losing of his girl. So painful he is that he will decide to take to morphine in order to forget everything, including the memory with his girl.

However, the most obvious part of the song depicting Bruno Mars' fear of losing his girl is the chorus part. All lines in this part obviously reveals that he is so worried about her leaving. He worries with his own lives after she leaves. And he can just imagine that living without his girl is so torturing. Only sadness will he feel. There is no joy at all, if living the life is without her. Of course, in this part all of the fears are described figuratively. "Cause there'll be no sunlight if I lose you, baby. There'll be no clear skies if I lose you, baby. Just like the clouds my eyes will do the same. If you walk away, every day it will rain." Well, just like you all can see, it is about sadness. So, Bruno Mars' It will rain song is a sad one.

  6. maybe bruno mars doesn't mean to say that "no religion can save him" about that he didn't trust to God
but he tried to tell the world even God couldn't save his relationship with his girl :)
